Now come to the tips of YouTube into PPt:
As an expert of sharing PowerPoint on most popular media, I have been asked by lots of people about how to embed a YouTube video into PowerPoint slide , I want to take the chance to write an article to help people who want PowerPoint and YouTube to get married. I will introduce a way of putting YouTube video into PPT presentation in the first part of this article.
Putting YouTube video into the PPT presentations
YouTube video is encoded in FLV format, while PowerPoint just accepts Mpeg, AVI, MOV and WMV video files. So you must convert the FLV format to Mpeg, AVI, MOV or WMV formats. There are two ways for you to convert it.
The first way is using the Online FLV Converter like YouTube Download Online. You can directly paste the YouTube video URL in the blank, choose the format you like and then click start, after the conversion finished, download it to your computer and then you can insert the video in your PowerPoint presentation.
This tool is totally free but it is very slow and sometimes it can not finish the conversion because of some error information. Hope you are lucky!
The second way (Recommend) is using some professional tool like YouTube downloader. This tool can help you download YouTube video and convert to any video aduio format you want. When you open a YouTube video, it can download the video automatically. You can Download it from here . Open YouTube downloader, then main interface shows (see the illustration below). Click the "Add" button to paste your YouTube URL in the blank, and then click OK.
After you finishing downloading you can see your video in the left "categories". Click "play" to view the downloaded video. But the most important thing we must do is converting our FLV video. Now click "Convert" and choose a proper format. AVI and WMV are recommended.
Save the converted file to you computer, then you can put YouTube video to PowerPoint presentation now!
Tips:
Always put the movie in the same folder as your PowerPoint presentation. If you later move the PowerPoint presentation to another computer, copy the movie too. Keeping your movie in the same folder as your presentation ensures the link will still work. However, you should always test the movie on a new machine just to be certain. Re-insert the movie, if necessary.
For PowerPoint 2007
Click Insert and Movie and then browse your target folder to import the downloaded video.

Click Movie from File

Now choose the video which you want to embed into your PowerPoint

Notice: The movie files that can be embeded into PowerPoint must be asf, avi, mpeg, or wmv. So make sure you have taken the right video format during the first step.
PowerPoint2003
1. On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds, and then click Movie from File.

2. Click the video you want to use and then click OK.
3. After you click OK, you're prompted with a message asking how you want the movie to start in the slide show.

Recommend choosing Automatically even if you want the movie to play when clicked I'll talk about how to set this part too. (If you choose When Clicked you have to click the black box to start the movie. Because I don't like to show the black box on the slide, I do this a little differently.
4. Right-click the movie object (the small rectangle) and on the shortcut menu, click Edit Movie Object.

5. The Movie Options dialog box appears. select what you want, and then click OK.
For example: Play the movie full Screen

Test this now to see how it works by starting the slide show. (On the Slide Show menu, click View Show.) Advance to the slide with the movie, (best if you have the title of the movie on it). Within a couple of seconds, the movie starts to play full screen. When the movie finishes, you return to the same slide (but no unsightly box appears). Click to advance to your next slide.

Another way to show your YouTube video on your PowerPoint presentation is give a link in your presentation but it has a limitation of your network connection. When you play your presentations you must connect to the Internet.
